For business owners

Test a new product or service. Before you commit the business to it.

You already have customers, so your risk is not that nobody wants anything, but that the next thing costs you a season and turns out to be the wrong thing.

Two questions a running business actually has

You are asked which one you want first, because the answer decides what your workspace opens on. Whichever you leave is still there the week you want it.

Is the next move worth the disruption?

A second location, a service line, a price change, a product the sales team keeps asking for. You do not have to run it past the whole company to find out. Put the offer on a page, send the right people to it, and count the ones who act.

The page is live at an address you choose, it collects the people who put their name down, and you can keep it out of search results while the test runs.

What the test page does

Does anybody outside the building hear from you?

Most businesses go quiet for the same reason: the person who would post is the person running the place. Designed posts in your own colors, sent to the accounts you already have, take a message rather than an afternoon.

$12 a year, which covers 12 posts a month across your accounts, a page about the business, and an assistant you can send a thought to from your phone.

What gets posted, and how

Built for a business with something to lose

A test does not have to carry your name in public

You can turn off search listing on a published page, and the link still opens for everyone you send it to. It just does not appear next to your real business in results while you are still deciding. Most founders never need this. A business with a reputation to protect needs it on day one.

Research is a decision, not a bill that arrives

Nothing long or expensive starts on its own. When you want the market read behind the page, the card tells you what it covers before you press it, and it is free the first time on your account.

What the others actually did

Once research has found the companies you compete with, you can watch up to five of them and hear when their pricing, positioning, changelog or hiring pages move, with a link to the page it was read on. A quiet month reports nothing and charges nothing.

Setup, in the order it happens

Three answers, then it runs

  1. 1

Say which of the two you want first

One screen, two choices: find out if people want it, or tell people about it every week.

  2. 2

    Answer what only you know

The name, what the business does in a paragraph, who buys and what the offer is, or a website we read most of it from.

  3. 3

    Approve the look once

Three directions shown on a real post carrying your own name, one already chosen, kept in a single press.

The case study that belongs here is not here yet

This is the place on the page where a business like yours would tell you what happened when they ran the test. We do not have one we are allowed to print. When a business tells us we may use their name and their result, both go here, together, with nothing rounded up. A story with the name filed off proves nothing, and inventing one would be a strange way to sell a product whose whole argument is that you should measure things rather than believe them.

What you can check in the meantime is the work. Every document the research side produces is published here in full as a worked sample, and the method behind the test page is written out as a guide you could follow by hand without paying us anything.

Questions from people who already have customers

We already have a website and a brand. Does this fight with them?

No, because it is not trying to replace either. The test page lives at its own address so your real site keeps doing its job, and the posts use the colors and type you give us rather than a template look. If you already have brand colors, you paste them in during setup and everything is drawn in them from then on.

Can we run a test without customers or competitors seeing it?

Yes. A published page can be kept out of search results with one checkbox, and the link still opens normally for anybody you send it to. That covers the ordinary case where you want a real signal from a chosen audience before the news travels. It is not secrecy: anybody who has the link can open it and can pass it on.

Who writes the posts?

You do, unless you ask for help. The usual path takes the words you typed and sets them, character for character, onto your own picture in your own colors, which calls nothing that has to be paid for. Asking for the words to be written or polished is a separate choice with its price shown before you press it. Nothing is published that you have not approved.

What does it cost?

Posting every week is $12 a year. Renews yearly at $12, and you can cancel anytime. The 30 day money back guarantee can be used once per customer, and it covers a first purchase rather than a renewal. The test page and the research behind it run on Starter, at $55 a month with 600 credits a month, and the monthly plans carry a 14 day money back guarantee. You can start on either and add the other when you want it.

How many posts is 12 a month, really?

Twelve deliveries, counted across the accounts you connect. One picture sent to three accounts is three of them, so twelve is a weekly picture going to three places. The count sits in front of you while you work rather than arriving as a surprise, and if you want more than that, a monthly plan lifts it.

Can more than one person use it?

Two of the monthly plans carry team access, where the people you invite work on the same projects with the access you give them, and the Business plan puts the whole team on one pool of credits. The cheapest plan is one person and their own accounts.

Test the next move, or start being seen.

The next screen asks which of the two you want first. That is the only decision you have to make today, and it is not a permanent one.

Put the new line on a page

No customers yet, and it is the whole idea you are unsure about? Start with the demand test instead

Write one line. See it come back designed.

Type the thing you would post and see it set three ways, before anything asks you for money.

Or try one of these:

No account, and nothing to pay.
