What it is

Short, guided intakes for product direction and engineering. Your answers generate full documents: a product document (what to build and who it is for, plus the screens and steps) and an engineering document (the recommended tools, how it fits together, and a build plan).

Why it matters

These documents give a builder real context to scope and build correctly, and give you a clear record of the decisions behind your product. Where you are unsure, we recommend a sensible default and label it an assumption.

How it works

The product questions open once eight of your research sections are written, and the engineering questions open once the product document is done, because each one is written against what came before it. Answer each question, add a comment, or choose our best judgment. Completing a step starts the document in the background, and if it has not appeared you can start it yourself from your project overview. Either document can be downloaded as a branded PDF on any plan, and regenerating one costs credits like any other generation.
