What it is

One-click export of your research into a Google Doc, a Word file, or a branded PDF, with a cover page, source links, disclaimers, and the fact and assumption labels the research is written with. The Google Doc also gets a contents list. Word and the Google Docs PDF are made from the Google Doc, so those two need a connected Google account and a Drive export first; the branded PDF needs neither.

Why it matters

You need to share your work with co-founders, advisors, and investors in a format they can read and comment on. Export gives you a polished document without copy-pasting.

How it works

Available once you have at least three populated sections, on Pro and Business or on a report you bought outright. Legal and tax sections are held back until you confirm you have read them, because that research is informational and is not professional advice. Confirming is your own attestation, not a review by a lawyer or an accountant, and it exists so a founder does not send regulated sections out without having read them.

Common questions

What formats can I get?

A Google Doc, a Word file, a PDF made from that Doc, and a branded PDF. The Word and Doc PDF downloads are built from the Google Doc, so they need a connected Google account and a Drive export first. The branded PDF needs neither.

When can I export?

Once at least three sections are written. The project owner exports on Pro and Business. A report you bought outright gets the Google Doc and the branded PDF.

Why does the export ask me to review the legal and tax sections?

Because that research is informational and is not professional advice. On Pro and Business the export is refused until you confirm you have read those sections. That is your own confirmation, not a review by a lawyer or an accountant, and a report you bought outright relies on the disclaimer in the document instead.

What is in the exported document?

A cover, your research with its source links, and the fact and assumption labels the research is written with, plus disclaimers. The Google Doc also gets a contents list.
