Dispute Resolution Policy

This policy explains how LaunchValid resolves disagreements over a marketplace engagement and the escrowed payment. It works with the Refund Policy, the Cancellation Policy, the Buyer Agreement, and the Seller Agreement. LaunchValid is operated by AmpFi App LLC.

The principle

Escrow protects both sides. The founder's money is held until the work is approved, and the expert's payment is protected once they deliver. When the two sides disagree, the funds stay held and a LaunchValid reviewer decides, rather than either side taking the money.

When a dispute can be opened

  • On a delivered task. A founder who believes the delivered work is materially deficient can open a dispute instead of approving.
  • On a held task. A founder can raise a problem before delivery, for example if the expert has gone silent. This can also arrive here when an expert declines a cancellation request.

While a dispute is open, the escrowed funds are held. No automatic release happens.

How we review

Our team looks at the full picture before deciding: the task and its statement of work, what the expert delivered, and the complete message history between the two sides. We may ask either party for more detail. We aim to be fair and prompt.

Possible outcomes

  • Release to the expert. If the work meets the agreed scope, the payment is released to the expert, minus the 12% platform fee.
  • Refund to the founder. If the work is materially deficient or was never delivered, the founder is refunded.
  • Partial outcome. Where the work was partly completed, the reviewer may split the funds to reflect what was actually done.

The reviewer's decision is recorded with a note, and both parties are notified.

Good-faith expectations

  • Keep the conversation and any files on LaunchValid. A clear on-platform record is the strongest evidence in a review.
  • Raise problems here first. Filing a bank chargeback instead of using cancellation or dispute tools is a breach of the Buyer Agreement and slows down any legitimate refund.
  • Respond to reviewer requests. Non-response is weighed against the party that goes silent.

For engagements with independent licensed professionals (legal or tax), LaunchValid reviews the marketplace transaction, not the professional advice itself. LaunchValid is a marketplace and escrow provider, not a law or accounting firm, and does not give legal or tax advice. Professional-conduct complaints are a matter for the relevant licensing body.
