Publishing Policy
Last updated: August 12, 2026
This policy covers what you agree to when you publish a validation page or a working app on LaunchValid hosting. It works with the Terms of Service, in particular sections 8.5 and 9, and the Privacy Policy. LaunchValid is operated by AmpFi App LLC.
It is separate from the Placeholder Page Policy, which covers the content-free holding page we put at your address while your workspace is being built. A holding page collects nothing and claims nothing. Publishing is different in both respects, which is why it is agreed to separately, at the moment you publish, rather than in advance.
What publishing does
When you press publish, three things become true at once:
- Real content goes public. The page or app carries material generated from your research: what your product is, who it is for, and what it offers. Anyone with the address can read it.
- It can collect information from other people. A published page normally carries a sign-up form. The people who fill it in are giving you their personal information.
- Search engines may index it. We stop asking them to skip your address once you publish.
What you are responsible for
The content is yours. You are responsible for everything on the published page or app. It must be lawful, must not infringe anyone's rights, and must not mislead the people who read it. We generate a draft from your research; publishing it is your decision and your statement.
Check the claims before you publish. Research is a starting point and can be wrong or out of date. Anything on the page that a visitor could act on, especially about price, availability, results, or what the product does today, is a claim you are making.
You may not publish material that is illegal, fraudulent, hateful, sexually exploitative, or that impersonates another person or brand.
Information you collect from visitors
This is the part that matters most, and it is why publishing needs its own agreement.
When your published page collects personal information from other people, you are the controller of that information and we are your processor, as set out in section 8.5 of the Terms. In plain terms: it is your data, collected for your purposes, and we hold it on your behalf.
That makes three things your responsibility:
- A lawful basis. You need a legitimate reason to collect what you collect, under the law that applies to you and to the people signing up.
- Your own privacy notice. People giving you their details are entitled to know who you are and what you will do with their information. That notice is yours to write and yours to publish, and we cannot write it for you because only you know what you intend to do with the data.
- Answering the people in it. If someone asks you for a copy of their information, or asks you to delete it, that request comes to you. We will help you act on it.
We do not sell, rent, or market to the people who sign up on your page. We hold their details to run the feature for you and for nothing else.
What we do
We host the page, serve it, and store the sign-ups where you can see and export them. We keep ordinary server records as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may take a published page down without notice if we believe it breaks this policy or the Terms, if it is the subject of a credible legal complaint, or if it is being used to defraud people. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it.
Taking it down
You can unpublish at any time from your project. Unpublishing stops the page being served. Sign-ups already collected stay in your project until you delete them, and deleting your project deletes them with it.
Search engines keep their own copies on their own schedule, so a page may still appear in results for a while after you unpublish. That is outside our control.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that affects what publishing means, we will update the date at the top and record the new version against future agreements. Anything you already agreed to stays recorded as the version you saw.
