What it is
A seller account that lets you bid on tasks founders publish. You build a profile, connect a Stripe payout account, and submit the profile for our team to review. The profile needs a headline, a bio, your skills, a resume link, and where you work from, and you confirm that you are old enough to contract and are entitled to do this work. Portfolio and LinkedIn links are welcome and optional. Where you work from and where your money lands are two separate things. You can live in almost any country, while the account that receives your payouts has to sit in one of the countries payouts reach.
Why it matters
LaunchValid founders come to you with clear, research-backed scopes of work, not vague ideas. You spend less time qualifying and more time doing paid work, with payment secured in escrow before you start. When a task is settled both sides rate each other, so the work you do well shows up as a rating and a record of completed engagements on your public profile, where founders read it before they pick a bid.
How it works
You can browse open tasks as soon as you sign in, so you can see the work before you commit to applying. Connect your payout account, then submit your profile for review; the payout account has to be connected first, because that is where we confirm your legal name, and the name on it needs to match the name on your profile. Once you are approved, place thoughtful bids and coordinate with the founder in the on-platform message thread. You are paid on approval, minus a 12% platform fee. If the founder asks to cancel before you have delivered, you accept or decline, and how the held money is settled depends on which side caused it. The account that receives your payouts is registered in your own country when payouts reach it. When they do not, the payout step asks you to pick the country of the business entity that will receive them instead.
If payouts do not reach your country
Payouts reach a limited list of countries, and an admin can add one as support arrives, so the list you see when you connect is the current one. Where you live is a separate question. Your profile carries the country, city and time zone you work from, so a founder sees where you are and what time it is for you, and that country can be almost anywhere. What has to be on the list is the country of the business entity that receives the money, and if your own country is not on it the payout step asks you to name that country before it will connect you. That entity is usually a company registered abroad, for example a US LLC. It costs money to set up, it keeps costing in annual filings whether or not you earn, and the bank account is the slow part, so take advice from someone qualified in that country before you register. The other route people ask about is an agency that is paid for your work and settles with its people on terms you agree with them. Agencies do run here and their members bid under their own name, but each member still connects a payout account of their own to get through review and approval, because that is where we confirm your legal name. The agency page explains what that involves.
Licensed work is checked
Legal and tax tasks are open only to sellers whose credentials have been checked. Upload your professional license with your profile, our team reviews the document, and once you are verified those skills open up for you to bid on. It is a slower door, and it is why the founders behind it are willing to hire a stranger for regulated work.
