Five dollars for eighty credits, bought the moment you want them and not a month before.
What it is
Eighty credits for five dollars, bought in one press from the screen that told you the balance was empty. It is not a plan, there is nothing to cancel, and it does not change anything else about your account. You are buying the writing or the picture you want now, at the moment you want it.
Why a small one exists
The cheapest plan comes with no credits on purpose, because composing your own words onto your own pictures, scheduling them and your own page all cost nothing to run and charging in advance for work you may never ask for is how a twelve dollar plan becomes a forty dollar one. But the first time you do want something written, the smallest pack on offer used to be five hundred credits, which is a serious purchase to make in order to get one picture. So there is a small one, sized so that it pays for itself at the price we sell it for rather than being a loss we quietly recover elsewhere.
What credits buy, and what they do not
Credits pay for the things a model makes for you: writing, and pictures made rather than composed. They do not buy deliveries. If you are on the plan that includes twelve posts a month and those are used up, credits will not post a thirteenth, and the screen says so rather than selling you the wrong answer: what the pack is for is getting the next month's posts ready. Composing your own words onto a background or a picture you already have stays free, and so does reading, sharing, downloading and your own page.
A renewal does not take them, and they do expire
Credits you bought with money survive a renewal. A monthly allowance refreshes, which replaces the allowance rather than adding to it, and letting that reset quietly swallow a pack you paid for the week before would be a poor trick. What they do have is an end date: bought credits last ninety days, the same as a boost, and only the amount sitting above your monthly allowance can expire. On the entry plan there is no monthly allowance, so a pack bought there can expire in full. We email you before that happens, and your balance and its date are both on the billing screen, so the ninety days is something you are reminded of rather than something you find out about afterward.
It is not the only way to buy credits
If you find yourself buying several packs, a boost is the bigger version of the same idea, sold from five hundred credits upward, and a monthly plan includes an allowance that refreshes every cycle and costs less per credit than either. The screen that offers the pack also names the plan that would carry you, with its price, so you can see which one actually suits how much you are making.
Common questions
How many credits is eighty, in real terms?
It covers a handful of pictures or a short piece of writing, depending on the quality you pick. Every action shows its price before you press it, and the figure quoted is a ceiling, so you are charged that or less.
Will it let me post more this month?
No, and the screen that offers it says so. Credits buy writing and pictures; deliveries come from your plan. If you want to post more this month, a monthly plan carries no post count at all.
Do the credits expire?
A plan renewal never takes them, because you paid cash for them. They do expire ninety days after purchase, and only the amount above your monthly allowance can go, which on a plan with no allowance means all of it. We email you first, and the date is on your billing screen.
Is it a subscription?
No. It is one charge for one pack, with a receipt. There is nothing recurring to cancel and nothing is bought again unless you press the button again.
